Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Partners with Shakti Foundation for CSR Initiative
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has collaborated with the Shakti Foundation in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. As part of this partnership, the Bank contributed to support the Shakti Mobile Clinic (SMC) project, which provides essential healthcare services to underprivileged communities, particularly in remote and rural areas. The Shakti Mobile Clinic project delivers comprehensive healthcare directly to the underprivileged.
Equipped with modern medical facilities and staffed by trained professionals, the mobile clinics offer consultation, treatment, vaccination, and health education. This initiative ensures that marginalized populations receive crucial medical attention, promoting community health and well-being.
The donation was ceremoniously handed over to Dr. Humaira Islam, Founder & Executive Director of Shakti Foundation, by Mr. Najith Meewanage, Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC. Mr. Mahmud Hossain, Deputy CEO and Head of Corporate Banking, Mr. Haily Algewatte, CRISO of CBC; Mr. Abdul Halim, CFO of Shakti Foundation; and other senior officials of both organizations were present at the program held at the Bank’s Head Office in Hadi Tower, Gulshan.
This CSR effort underscores the Bank’s commitment to contributing to the welfare and healthcare of communities in remote areas of the country reinforcing the Bank’s dedication to making a positive impact through meaningful partnerships.
